Only 40 young people will be selected for Cohort 1
This is a small, intentional cohort. We are selecting just 40 fellows for this first cycle to ensure every participant receives meaningful mentorship and support. Apply only if you are genuinely ready to commit.
The Rise for Impact Fellowship is a selective, transformational leadership program for Africa’s emerging changemakers. Fellows receive formal credentials, mentorship, practical skills, exposure to funding opportunities, and the community of peers and leaders needed to make their impact real — starting in Cameroon, expanding across Africa.
A fellowship is not just a training program. It is a guided experience that combines learning, mentorship, and real-world application.
The fellowship includes:
- a 2-day in-person experience in Buea
- a 4-month mentorship and development journey
- a strong focus on real-world impact and community engagement
Participants will develop leadership capacity, gain clarity, build ideas into actionable initiatives, and apply what they learn within their communities.
Fellowship Requirement — Pass It On
All fellows are required to participate in a Pass It On initiative. This is a mandatory component of the program.
Participants will work in teams to:
- Organise a knowledge-sharing or community impact session
- Share what they have learned
- Extend the impact of the fellowship to others
Participation & Logistics
This is a funded fellowship. Selected participants will be required to make a commitment contribution.
The in-person session will take place in Buea, Cameroon. Participants are responsible for transportation and accommodation, if applicable. Applicants should ensure they are able to make the necessary arrangements to attend.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be between 16 and 30 years old
- Be based in Cameroon for this cohort
- Be available for the 2-day in-person session and 4-month mentorship
- Demonstrate interest in leadership, personal development, or community impact
- Be willing to actively participate and complete the fellowship
